Day # 2 - Flowing water from 1.75 and 2.5-inch lines, hose bundles, extending lines, coupling drops.

Day # 3 - Live Fire Scenarios.

The Groves Fire Department would like to extend a sincere thank you to our City Council, the Mayor, and our City Manager for attending our Fireman of the Year banquet last night.
Your presence and continued support mean a great deal to our department and the firefighters who serve this community every day. It’s an honor to have leadership that stands behind its first responders.
We would also like to thank everyone else who attended and helped make the evening such a success. Events like this remind us how strong our community truly is.
We appreciate the support, the partnership, and the shared commitment to serving our city.
Respectfully,

Last night we also had the incredible honor of recognizing Billy Rich for 50 years of dedicated service to the fire service.
Fifty years of answering the tones.
Fifty years of serving this community.
Fifty years of commitment, sacrifice, and brotherhood.
Billy Rich has helped shape this department through decades of change, growth, and challenge. That kind of dedication isn’t just admirable — it’s legacy.
Thank you for paving the way, setting the standard, and showing generations of firefighters what true service looks like. We are proud to serve alongside you and grateful for the example you continue to set.
Here’s to 50 years of service — and the lasting impact you’ve made on this department and this community.

Last night we had the honor of celebrating our Fireman of the Year at our annual banquet.
It’s always a great night to step back from the calls, training, and long shifts to recognize the hard work, dedication, and sacrifice that often goes unseen.
Congratulations to Ryan Williams — well deserved. Your commitment to the department, the community, and your brothers and sisters does not go unnoticed. You represent what the fire service is all about.
Thank you to everyone who helped put the banquet together and to all who attended. It’s an honor to serve alongside each of you.
Proud of this department. Proud of this brotherhood.

Even though the bad weather forced us to cancel training, that didn’t stop us from making the most of the night! Our junior firefighters still had a great time, having some fun and playing basketball in their fire gear. Proud of these kids for always showing up with a great attitude and making the best of any situation! 🚒🏀. Plus a big thank you to our Groves Professional Firefighters Association Local 1905 for also being part of the fun.
