Our Story

Rotary Club Five Cities' Eco is the fourth club of it’s kind in the world whose members are among the business, professional, academic and community leaders whose motto of “Service Above Self” motivates it’s members to contribute financially, raise funds and volunteer on projects committed to reuse - reduce and recycle waste.

Meetings include featured speakers and a planning session for monthly projects that support our community and environment. We meet at SLOCO Data and Printing, Grover Beach on the 1st & 3rd Tuesday of the month at 6 pm.

We are a part of Rotary International, 1.2 million-member organization started with the vision of one man—Paul P. Harris.

The Chicago attorney formed one of the world’s first service organizations, the Rotary Club of Chicago, on 23 February 1905 as a place where professionals with diverse backgrounds could exchange ideas and form meaningful, lifelong friendships. Rotary’s name came from the group’s early practice of rotating meetings among the offices of each member. Our ongoing commitment Rotarians have not only been present for major events in history—we’ve been a part of them.
