Heroes & Home Runs 🥎👮‍♂️🧑‍⚕️ 🏆

Over the weekend, members of our team took home the First Place trophy 🥇 after participating in the “Heroes and Home Runs” softball tournament hosted by Arroyo Grande Hospital. It was a fantastic day filled with fun, teamwork, and a little friendly competition!

We always love the chance to face off against our friends at the Arroyo Grande Police Department. ⚾ the competition was fierce but your GBPD went undefeated 🥇

Big thanks to Arroyo Grande Hospital for organizing such a great event and to all the teams who came out to play. Until next time! And an extra special shout out and thank you to .by.marissa for capturing the spirit of our team! We appreciate you!

🚓 Precision. Control. Safety.

Today, our officers completed Emergency Vehicle Operations Course (EVOC) training at the Allan Hancock Police Academy as part of California POST perishable skills training requirements.

This specialized training allows officers to practice critical driving techniques such as collision avoidance, emergency pursuit driving, and low traction recovery on the skid pan. Each course is designed to prepare officers to safely respond in high-pressure and adverse driving conditions.

These skills are taught in a controlled, closed-course environment under the guidance of highly skilled instructors, allowing officers to safely train.

Regular training like this helps ensure our officers maintain the skills, judgment, and vehicle control needed to protect both our community and everyone on the road.

This morning around 7 a.m., you may have noticed police activity on Oak Park near Brighton. GBPD assisted the Fresno Police Department in serving a search warrant related to a retail theft case that originated in Fresno.

The search warrant was served without incident, and one female was arrested. Evidence was located at the home and was seized by Fresno PD.

At this time, we have no further information to provide. Any additional questions should be directed to the Fresno Police Department.
