UPDATE: Phones are back working at City Hall and the Court System.
Any one needing to reach either department should be able to do so now. We apologize for the inconvenience.

The opening of City Hall and the Court System will be delayed this morning due to electrical issues. The phones for City Hall and the Water Department are out as well. As soon as electricity is restored, we will update this post to let citizens know. Thank you for your patience.

Showers and storms moving in from the west will be capable of producing locally heavy rainfall this afternoon. With soils already saturated, this will likely result in quick developing flash flooding. Never drive through flooded roadways!

* At 337 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain
have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly.

Clarke Washington Electric officials are working on the outages in the area and should hopefully have power restored as soon as they can. Please use caution out on the roads and be mindful of the repair trucks and workers.
