Clarke County Board of Education Appoints New District 3 Board Member
The Clarke County Board of Education is pleased to announce the appointment of Mrs. Marlene Davis as the new representative for District 3, effective July 1, 2026.
Mrs. Davis, a longtime resident of Jackson and a dedicated supporter of public education, was appointed by the Board during its regularly scheduled meeting on June 16, 2026, following the resignation of former District 3 Board Member Mrs. Tara Moseley. Following the appointment, Mrs. Davis was officially sworn into office by the Honorable J.R. Morgan.
Mrs. Davis brings to the Board a lifelong commitment to her community and a deep appreciation for the importance of strong public schools. In her letter of interest, she expressed her desire to serve the students, families, and educators of Clarke County and to help ensure that all children are provided with opportunities to succeed both academically and personally.
The Clarke County Board of Education extends its sincere appreciation to Mrs. Tara Moseley for her years of dedicated service to the students and citizens of District 3. Her contributions have helped strengthen our schools and our community.
