The Submarine Base New London's Lower Corridor Access Control Point, commonly referred to as "Lower 2", is secured for all traffic until further notice. The Alternate Access Control Point, located next to the Lower Base NEX Mini Mart, building 173, will be open for access. An alert will be sent out when the primary access control point is reopened.

Sailors deserve safe, clean, and reliable places to live. That’s why CNIC is accelerating improvements to Navy Housing as part of our “Sailors First” initiative.

This week, SUBASE hosted Ms. Megan Purkey, Navy Housing Program Analyst with ODASN (I&F) and OASN (E, I&E). Ms. Purkey was able to tour, inspect, and speak on many of our ongoing projects to improve Navy Housing. Ms. Purkey walked through barracks around base and visited Beacon Point Homes, PPV military housing, off base. The visit allowed SUBASE to showcase the Navy’s focus on improving living standards for all Sailors.
