NCSS is a nonprofit in New London County with over 50 years of providing behavioral health services and resources. We offer an array of community-based services for all ages, including:
• A therapeutic group home for adolescent girls referred from the Department of Children and Families (DCF)
• A short term assessment and respite house for children who have been removed from their homes due to a
buse, neglect, or other high-risk circumstances
• A Community Housing and Assistance Program serving young adults transitioning to self-sufficiency
• The DCF community-based services to children and families that include therapeutic mentoring, temporary care services, supervised visitation, recovery support and diagnostic/functional assessments
• Transportation for DCF children and families
• Shelter care for Unaccompanied Children ages infant to 18, including pregnant and parenting teens
• Recovery support for adults with chronic mental health issues with the goal to assist our clients to maintain a level of self-sufficiency to live successfully in their community
