Last name: Chapman
First: Jolissa
Age: 17
The City of Groton Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance with locating a reported missing person.
Jolissa Chapman, 17, was reported missing on May 31, 2026, and was last seen on May 30, 2026, at approximately 12 PM in Groton City.
Chapman is a white female, approximately 5’ 6” tall, and weighs 120 lbs. She has black hair that goes to her mid back.
Chapman left her residence in the City of Groton and never returned. Her last know clothing is unknown.
If you have seen Chapman or have knowledge of her whereabouts, please contact the City of Groton Police Department at 860-445-2451.

Today, we honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation. Memorial Day is a time to reflect on their courage, dedication, and selfless commitment to protecting our freedoms.

The members of the Police Department extend our gratitude to all who have served and to the families who carry the memory of those we have lost. May we never forget their sacrifice.

May 19, 2026

On 05/20/2026 the City of Groton Police Department will be staffing traffic posts within the city due to the presidential visit taking place on that date. As a result, temporary road and intersection closures are likely at various times between the hours of 09:30am and 2:30pm. When a roadway or intersection is closed by an officer, no traffic of any kind, other than emergency vehicles, will be permitted to move.

The following roads may be affected:

Poquonnock Road
Rainville Avenue
Clarence B Sharp Highway

If travel is required during this time, operators are advised to find alternate routes in order to detour around any closures.
