June 6, 1944 – D-Day. Today, we remember the courage, sacrifice, and unwavering spirit of the Allied forces who stormed the beaches of Normandy to defend freedom.

Among them were thousands of Sailors and Marines who showed extraordinary bravery in the face of impossible odds.

At Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society, we honor their legacy by continuing to serve those who wear the uniform today.

On National Maritime Day, we recognize the Sailors and military families whose lives are deeply shaped by service at sea. ⚓ Behind every deployment, underway period, and homecoming is a family navigating long separations, constant change, and the challenges that come with military life.

At NMCRS, we are proud to support Sailors, Marines, and their loved ones through every chapter; from financial assistance during unexpected hardship to resources that help families stay strong while their service member is away. Today, we honor the strength of those who serve at sea and the families who serve alongside them.
