Community Share: The annual on June 6 & 7 features several walks in Groton, including Fort Griswold, Groton Heights, and the Starr Burying Ground. A list is at https://trailsday.org/?city=groton. All are free, but some ask you to reserve a spot because space is limited.

Trails Day is organized by the Connecticut Forest & Park Association.

Summer is coming up fast, let's take a look into the past!

This is Bushy Point, at the mouth of the Poqounock River. It was a popular summer resort at the turn of the 20th century. The Kingsley family cottage is visible in the foreground of this photo. The old pavilion in the back was later converted into quarters for the Stiles family, who leased the point from 1899-1919.
