Our 11th Annual Bumpers & Books Trunk-or-Treat is almost a month away! We are in need of volunteers to decorate their vehicles, staff our craft and tattoo tables, help with setup/cleanup, and more. Donations of bagged candy and treats, such as stickers, bookmarks, and pencils, are greatly appreciated. 🎃🍬👻

Does anyone remember the 20ft wooden sculpture “Algonquin” that used to sit on the library grounds? It was carved by artist Peter Toth in August-September, 1982 and donated to the Town of Groton in October of that year. “Algonquin” was the 43rd sculpture completed (and the only Connecticut sculpture) in Toth’s series “The Trail of Whispering Giants,” which includes more than 70 20-40ft sculptures across each of the 50 U.S. States.
