Town of Groton Planning Commission Invites Public Input on Town Plan Rewrite
GROTON, VERMONT — The Town of Groton Planning Commission and the Northeastern Vermont Development Association (NVDA) are seeking input from residents, property owners, and business owners as they begin to rewrite Groton’s Town Plan. The Town Plan establishes a roadmap for the town and sets priorities for public investments and community-building efforts for the years ahead. Updating the Town Plan ensures that it reflects the community’s current needs and values, as well as its long-term vision.
To gather input, Groton has launched a community survey. The survey is designed to collect feedback on key topics such as housing, infrastructure, and economic development. The Planning Commission and NVDA will use the survey results to guide the drafting of a new Town Plan, which will later be presented for public review and comment.
The survey can be completed online at https://tinyurl.com/grotontownplan and paper copies are available at the Town Clerk’s Office. Responses will be accepted until December 14, 2025.
Want to get more involved? Interested in providing more than survey responses? Want to be a part of the team of volunteer residents that meet monthly to plan Groton’s bright future? Groton’s Planning Commission has a vacancy and now is a great time to join the Commission. To express interest in this vacancy please email [email protected] or call the Town Clerk at 584-3276.
For more information about the Town Plan update or to get involved, please visit https://www.grotonvt.com or contact the Planning Commission at [email protected].
