The Grosse Pointe Woods Parks and Recreation is excited to announce youth archery classes are now available at Lake Front Park.

GPW Celebrates Fresh Water Week June 6-14

The Great Lakes, along with our smaller lakes and rivers, provide all the freshwater we could ever need.

While this water is plentiful, we depend just as much on the water providers and systems responsible for treating and delivering the water that falls, the water we drink, and the water we send down the drain. In fact, it’s all One Water.

There are limited quantities of One Water brochures on the credenza at the Community Center.

Explore tips and tools to protect Southeast Michigan’s lakes, rivers, and water systems through shared stewardship and action.

Happy Memorial Day Weekend!

The Lake Front Park Aquatics Facility Opens Saturday, May 23.

**The facility will follow the weekend schedule on Memorial Day, Monday May 25.**

City offices will be closed Friday, May 22 and Monday, May 25.

Rubbish will be delayed next week due to the holiday.

Please join us at Veterans’ Memorial Parkway Circle of Honor, located at the corner of Vernier Rd & Mack Ave., for the 44 Memorial Day Observance on Monday, May 25 at 10am.

In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will move indoors to the Community Center.

Please be aware of tomorrow's traffic shift at Vernier Road and Lee Court.

Traffic Advisory

Tomorrow morning after school begins, westbound traffic at Vernier & Lee Ct will be shifted into an eastbound lane through a small construction zone. Eastbound traffic will be reduced to one lane.

Expect possible delays during lunch and dismissal for GPN. If all goes as planned, this will be a one-day traffic shift.

Hazardous Waste Drop Off Day Tomorrow

Saturday, April 18, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Department of Public Works located at 1200 Parkway Drive (corner of Marter). View the Hazardous Waste Guidelines below for proper disposal procedures.

Hazardous waste events will no longer accept latex paint. Latex paint is not hazardous waste. Please discard your latex paint with regular trash after it is dried out or solidified.
