I moved to Grosse Pointe Park almost ten years ago to be close to the family of the woman who I would eventually marry. I fell in love with the small-town, community feel of the Park. I am running for council to give a voice to my neighbors, the constituents, and help Council to exercise proper process and transparency in city business. In addition to my enthusiasm and love for GPP, I have a backg
round that positions me well to serve the city. In my years of experience at the Rock/Quicken Loans Family of Companies, I've deeply analyzed the status quo and implemented new systems in countless areas including parking, food and beverage, environmental services, marketing, and many more. For years, I was part of the "Mousetrap" team there, which crowdsourced ideas and brought them to life. Before college, I was a Sergeant of Marines with the U.S. Marine Corps, serving as a helicopter crewchief on HMX-1 under two administrations. I hope to apply this groundwork to the City Council. On Council, I will give a voice to all constituents, whether we agree about our personally desired outcome of a given issue or not. My driving view is that all issues should be fleshed out, voices heard, and procedures followed, so that our city can be the best it can be for the residents.
