*Our Keys to Stability Free Vehicle Recipient is -Adteise!
Out of 523 applications, Adteise secured the FREE Toyota Matrix with her compelling story of strength, perseverance, and determination. Congrats Adteise; we are so proud to have met you and your family. Below is a little bit of her story:
".......What truly motivates me are my 14- and 5-year-old children. My 5-year-old son is on the Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and has additional health challenges, and being their parent is what pushes me every day to create a better, less stressful life for our family—one where we can truly enjoy the moments that matter.
Having reliable transportation would make a huge difference for our family. It would allow me to take my children to their doctor’s appointments, especially my son, who has a large medical team across several facilities, including OHSU, Providence, and Emanuel Children’s Hospital. My 14-year-old daughter attends a supportive school in Southwest Portland, while we live in the Gresham area. Because of this, I often must choose between getting my children to school or taking them to important medical specialty appointments. Public transportation is a significant challenge for my son due to sensory overload, so we rarely use it.
The Keys to Stability free car program would help keep my family on track with school, healthcare, and financial planning. I would be able to take my children to inclusive, family-friendly activities and gain more economic stability through part-time employment. This level of independence would strengthen our family and honestly make me feel like a better parent—one who can show up fully for their children."
We hope to have the Keys to Stability project again late in 2026.
