Little ones rule.

Little ones rule.

We put on a small roping the other night and my 2-year-old niece shows up and informs me she “brought her stuff,” and when a two-year-old comes prepared, you better have a horse for her to ride. So I told her, “You can ride the grey filly “Yp Majestic Midget” and your only job tonight is to name her.” I know better than to ask that of a 2-year-old….I once had a porch full of kittens named Marshmallow, Spider-Man, Fluffy, and Orangey!

Well, her name is now Unicorn, and she better be here on the ranch the next time she comes because she’s her horse now, and she knows exactly what Unicorn looks like, and kids forget nothing! 😂

On June 24 volunteers arrived at Milo McIver State Park to work on the warm-up arena.
With the direction of Mickey Yeager and Larry Wilson T-posts were placed and capped, and the panels realigned.
Work was completed in less than three hours, and then some members even tackled the ever necessary eradication of Tansy.
A BIG thank you to all involved with these improvements at this very popular park for Equestrian trail riding.
Thanks to our Chair, Mary Blankevoort, for the report and the photos.
