Every year GCVFD along side four other county volunteer fire department and the city of Grenada donates $300 for fire prevention month to go to the schools for kids coloring books hats, along with some demonstrations from the city. We are all honored to be apart of fire prevention in the month of October of each year

Second and third day into the year, Geeslin and corner VFD has started a set of threes. Had a car fire on I 55 that was actually a car run hot fix the hose for the lady filled her up with water and put her on her way
Third day I had a backhoe fire on Hickory Road in scenic Hills.

I just wanna do a shout out to Grenada, sheriff department, all Geeslin corner fire dept personnel, Tie Plant fire department for water supply among a lot of other personal, the Goldwater Brothers, and a few of Elliott personnel! Big shout out to Bill Ashmore for the help that he give us with a mini excavator!!  also there was a lot of people bringing water and drinks thank all of you.

Geeslin Corner VFD went to Friendship Baptist Church last night. It showed some future Uner, our equipment, fire, safety, and awareness and know how really enjoyed the opportunity to serve the public!!

Hello ladies/gent GCVFD got very lucky last year with a grant! We got some much needed SCBA ( air paks) n bottles!! God is great!! Hope for a $500000 class A pumper this year!!

GCVFD Engine 12 and Tanker 14 responded to a 18 wheeler fire at the 211 northbound exit. Arriving units found heavy smoke and flames coming from the rear section of a refrigerated trailer. Attack was made and scene was secured in about 1 hour.

Today GCVFD responded to a structure fire on Hwy 51 north this morning. Upon arriving, Units found heavy smoke coming from house. Attack was made and fire was contained to one bedroom. Thanks to Tie Plant Vfd, Grenada SO, and UMMC for assisting
