Greenwood Public Library Delaware The Greenwood Public Library began in a loaned trailer in 1978. By 1998, the library had grown so large that an addition was required.

A rural public library in Sussex County, DE, that enriches the quality of life for our community by providing free access to ideas, information, and materials and guides research, education, and entertainment in a safe and welcoming environment. Ten years later, under the directorship of June Bostick, the Mill Street location was completed as a permanent home to a growing collection. The addition

was completed under the leadership of previous director Pat Brown. By 2012, it was time for another expansion. Greenwood Library had outgrown it’s current accommodations and was in desperate need of more space. Operating under the leadership of Pat Brown, a brand new building of over 10,000 square feet was erected with the help of Sussex County, the Friends of Greenwood Library, and the Town of Greenwood. Today, under the new director Christina Woitas, the Library is home to over 35,000 books, magazines, movies, with access both in-state and out-of-state to many more!

A hip group-led discussion fostering the love of music & appreciation of vinyl, centering on a prominent record or artist of the month. \\
In June, we're celebrating Father's Day with a little dose of dad rock and summer BBQ vibes with Bob Seger's Stranger in Town. Originally released in May 1978, this highly polished, commercially successful follow-up to "Night Moves" featured iconic hits such as "Hollywood Nights" and "Old Time Rock and Roll." It is widely considered one of his most consistent albums, expertly blending blue-collar rock anthems with reflective, piano-driven ballads.

As a bonus, supplemental coffee-table style books and biographies will be on hand, so you can browse the artist's life in pictures and stories to enhance the experience and discussion.
