Due to the heavy rainfall, there are multiple roads flooded in Greenwood County. Citizens are advised not to travel unless the travel is due to an emergency. Although the rain has ended for now, and the water has started to rescind, the accumulated water levels are still dangerous.

• If you encounter a flooded roadway, do not attempt to drive through the water. Turn around and seek higher ground.
• Be aware of possible flooding, especially around creeks, streams and other low lying areas that are prone to flooding.
• Please obey all road closures and barricades.
• High winds are still possible so be prepared for possible power outages.

If you sustain any type of damage due to flooding or high winds, please contact 864-942-8553. Be prepared to give your name, address where the damage occurred, phone number and type of damage. Over the next week the damage assessment team will be performing an assessment.
People with life-threatening emergencies should contact 911.
