This Monday's guest speaker is Mr. Mark Messick, White River Township Trustee, Johnson County.

"Messick will discuss township government in general, White River Township in particular, and legislative changes that have affected township government.

Mr. Messick has served as White River Township Trustee for 16 years. He was a member of the township board for 10 years previously. During his tenure, he served as Central Area Director for the Indiana Township Association (ITA), a position to which he was elected to serve by all members of the ITA. The ITA is a nonprofit association serving township government through education, support services and advocacy. Mr. Messick is regularly consulted as a subject-matter expert on township government.

Mr. Messick's career includes serving as an executive financial planner for a brokerage firm for 20 years. He also owned two different architectural glass and metal companies, one in Indiana and one in Florida.White River Township, with a population or about 45,000, which is one of the more populous townships in the state, is located in the northwest corner of Johnson County. There are six other county townships in Johnson County: Clark, Blue River, Hensley, Nineveh, Pleasant and the consolidated FUN township which merged Franklin, Union and Needham townships in 2022. This Monday's guest speaker is Mr. Brumbarger, who is an entrepreneur, successful businessman, author, educator, consultant, mentor, and community leader.

"Brumbarger is President of Struinova Innovation, "a consulting practice helping leaders and organizations tackle complex challenges through structured creative problem-solving, design thinking and business strategy . . . " He was Founder, President and CEO of BitWise Solutions, a successful, respected IT firm, before selling it after 27 years of ownership.

In 2013, he founded Apprentice University to help address the technology talent shortage in Indiana. After serving about 250 students, he exited Apprentice University in 2023. Mr. Brumbarger will talk about “apprenticeships and how we need to open our aperture of imagination for preparing the workforce we need today and tomorrow for knowledge-based jobs.”

This Monday's guest speaker is Mr. Dave "The King" Wilson!

"Wilson, former owner and operator of the popular "One-Liners" Comedy Club in Greenwood, is known for his own stand-up comedic performances, a popular broadcaster and talk-show host , MC, 500 race announcer, and even playing "Santa" for thousands of young and old folks during the Christmas holiday season. A Hoosier, Mr. Wilson grew up in the early morning shadows of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and attended Northwest High School. He and his wife, Becky, are owners of "Santa's Pitstop Christmas Shoppe & Gifts," a year-round store "with a nod to the local racing culture" located on Main Street in downtown Speedway.

Mr. Wilson was host for many years of his own afternoon talk show on WIBC radio. He has served as an announcer for the Colts, Pacers and at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway also. He has been a guest on many talk shows, including Bob and Tom. He is currently on tour with other comedians bringing his 40 years of fun and humor to audiences in the Midwest."

"PLS, whose corporate office is located in Greenwood, provides support for the construction industry. That includes conveyor and equipment installation, warehousing, and professional labor support. The "company specializes in offering material handling, conveyor installation, industry equipment, agricultural equipment, and solar energy equipment to customers." Prior to joining PLS, Mr. Price served in executive positions with Tompkins Solutions and Hirata Corporation of America. He earned associate and BS degrees from Indiana State University."

This Monday's guest speaker is Mr. Lou Stoops, Training and Development Coach.

"Stoops has a background in workforce development. He has provided consulting and training services for a wide range of businesses and organizations, including Rolls Royce, Allison Transmission, Kroger, Ontario Systems, Head Start, St. Vincent Health and the Franklin Township Community School Corporation. He appeared regularly for four years on Fox 59 television and hosted a weekly community affairs program on the TBN local affiliate. He is a former reporter for Indy Boomer TV on WFYI also. Mr. Stoops is the author of "Positively Speaking," a book with "Insights and Stories to Ignite Your Life." He contributed to another book, "Overtime Making the Most of the Bonus Years," which is a compilation of true-life stories of individuals who made significant life changes in their 40s, 50s and beyond."

This Monday's guest speaker is Dr. Kosali Simon, a Distinguished Professor at Indiana University, Bloomington, and a "nationally known health economist who specializes in applying economic analysis in the context of health insurance and health care policy."

"Dr. Simon is a Distinguished Professor at Indiana University, Bloomington, a Herman B. Wells Endowed Professor, Paul O'Neill Chair, and Associate Vice Provost for Health Science. She was elected to the National Academy of Medicine and is Editor of the Journal of Health Economics. Dr. Simon earned her undergraduate degree from Hamilton College and her Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Maryland.

Dr. Simon is a research associate with the National Bureau for Economic Research. She serves as a member of the governing body of the Association for Public Policy Analysis and Management and has served on the board of the American Society of Health Economists. She served as a board member of the American Economic Association's Committee for the Status of Women in Economics and directed the national mentoring program for female assistant professors in economics. She also served a three-year term with the nation's largest health philanthropy, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation."

This Monday's guest speaker is Mr. Thomas M. Fisher, Executive Vice President and Director of Litigation with EdChoice.

"EdChoice, a 501(c)3 nonprofit, nonpartisan organization headquartered in Indianapolis, was established in 1996 by Nobel laureate Milton Friedman and economist Rose D. Friedman. It is dedicated to promoting choice in the delivery of K-12 education. Mr. Fisher joined EdChoice in 2023. He previously served as Indiana's Solicitor General from 2005 to 2023, where he handled litigation for the State, defended state statutes against constitutional attack, advised the Attorney General on legal policy issues, and managed the State's US Supreme Court docket. He is a recipient twice of the National Association of Attorneys General Best Brief Award and has argued five times before the US Supreme Court. Mr. Fisher has handled cases before the Indiana Supreme Court and the Seventh Circuit US Court of Appeals, also. He is an American Academy of Appellate Lawyers Fellow and recipient of a Sagamore of the Wabash. A native Hoosier, Mr. Fisher received his undergraduate degree from Wabash College and his law degree from Indiana University, where he serves as an Adjunct Professor of Law."

This Monday's guest speaker is Dr. Danielle Cadle, DO, a board-certified family medicine physician.

"Dr. Cadle, who is the invited guest speaker of Greenwood Rotarian Julia Reynolds, has operated Crossroads Family Medicine, located at 3209 West Smith Valley Road in Greenwood since August, 2024. As an osteopathic physician, she focuses on comprehensive health for all age groups, including women's health. Dr. Cadle has about 15 years of experience in family health. She earned her medical degree from the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in 2012, an academic division of Michigan State University that focuses on "patient-centered care and a biopsychosocial approach to caring for patients." She performed her residency with the United States Air Force, where she was appointed residency chief of academics. After that, she practiced at Ellsworth Air Force Base in South Dakota. She then moved to Martinsville, Indiana, where she worked as a family physician prior to opening her current practice."
