The Greenwood Chamber of Commerce will meet on Monday, May 11, 2026 at 5:15 P.M. for a Board of Directors Meeting. All Board members are asked to be present.

6 P.M. General Membership Meeting.. Guest Speaker will be Mr. Darryl Pruitt, Branch Executive for Bonvenu Bank, 9237 Mansfield Road, Shreveport.

He will discuss the bank benefits to their customers such as commercial and residential loans, checking and savings-current rates, personal and equity line of credit rates,, CD rates and other services.

The Greenwood Chamber of Commerce will meet on Monday, March 9, 2026, at the Greenwood Venue, 8905 Greenwood Road (across from the storage facility):
5:15 P.M. Board of Directors
6:00 P.M. GCC General membership.
Refreshments will be served. The guest speaker will be Detective Clarissa Harris, Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office. She will discuss and give insights on scams, and cyber crimes.

The Greenwood Chamber of Commerce February Meeting will be held on Monday, February 9, 2026, at the Greenwood venue, 8905 Greenwood Road, Greenwood LA. Beginning at 5:15 P.M. will be the Board of Directors Meeting. All board members are asked to be present.

At 6 P.M., the General Membership will me. A lite dinner will be served. Our guest speaker will be Honorable Ken Epperson, Caddo Parish Commissioner District 12. He will provide information on what is happening economically as well as what is proposed in Northwest LA. He will provide information and suggestions on how and what the chamber can do to help attract businesses to Greenwood.

Greenwood Police Department report on the weather and due to anticipated weather emergency actions you can take

❄️ Winter Weather Notice – What to Expect ❄️

As winter weather approaches the Greenwood area, we want to make sure our residents understand how services may be affected during this storm.

• Greenwood Police Department does not have a dispatcher on duty 24/7/365.
• Outside of normal business hours, the non-emergency line is answered by on-duty officers while they are on patrol.
• If officers are responding to another call for service, working a crash, or directing traffic on icy roadways, non-emergency calls may go unanswered at that time.
• Non-emergency calls for service will likely experience delays due to weather conditions and call volume.

Please also note:
• Greenwood Police do not have direct contact with AEP SWEPCO and cannot expedite power restoration.
• The Water Department is a separate entity from the Police Department. We do not have information on why water service may be out or when it will be restored.
• Road conditions can be checked by dialing 5-1-1.

🚨 For emergencies, always call 9-1-1.

The Greenwood Chamber of Commerce will celebrate with "Christmas On the Lake" at the Greenwood Venue, 8905 Greenwood Road, Greenwood LA on Monday, December 8, 2025 from 6 P.M. to 9 P.M. Tickets are $15.00 per person. You may purchase your ticket(s) at Town Hall from today until December 1, 2025. The Christmas Dinner will be catered. Lots of activities are planned for this annual event. Be sure to bring a gift for Robbers' Christmas which is always lots of fun and laughter especially if the gift you choose is stolen and you have to choose another one, and that gift may also be stolen from you. So join the GCC for an evening of fun, laughter, good company, and delicious traditional Christmas food entrees. Y'all come!!!!!!

The Greenwood Chamber of Commerce Monthly Meeting has been rescheduled for Monday, October 20, 2025, 6 P.M., at the Greenwood Venue, 8905 Greenwood Road, Greenwood LA. The Board will meet at 515 P.M. The meeting is important so the Membership can make decisions about the GCC " Annual Christmas Gala Affair" Bring your suggestions and ideas. Let's do something exciting.

We anticipate that our guest speaker will be Mark Hawkins of Haz-Mat Services on Adams Street. The company is in the Oil Service Business. They recently added some huge, tall white tanks in the back of their location. Would you like to know what the tanks are used for? Are there chemicals stored in them?

I f you know of a business that would like to be invited to be a guest speaker at one of our meetings, please let us know.
