Thank you to Lindsey Riley Turner for joining Emerald City Rotary this week and sharing an update on the South Carolina Festival of Flowers!

For decades, the Festival of Flowers has helped showcase the beauty, hospitality, and community spirit that make Greenwood such a special place to live, work, and visit. Lindsey gave our members a look at what’s ahead this year and shared ways community members can get involved through volunteering, attending events, and supporting the festival’s continued success.

A wonderful night at Discover Rotary!

It was great to spend the evening sharing fellowship, service, and conversation with both familiar faces and new friends interested in learning more about Emerald City Rotary Club, Greenwood Rotary Club and the work of Rotary International.

Last night at our Companion Club meeting, we spent time writing thank you notes to our local first responders.

From police officers and firefighters to EMS personnel, we are so grateful for the men and women who serve and protect our community each day.

This past weekend, members of the Emerald City Rotary Club joined together for the Rotary YMCA Work Day alongside friends from the Greenwood SC Rotary Club to make a lasting impact in our community.

Together, volunteers:
• Built a stage
• Constructed 12 picnic benches
• Painted tables
• Helped with trash and debris cleanup

In total, 11 Emerald City Rotary members and 2 Greenwood Rotary members came together to serve, strengthen community spaces, and make a difference through hands-on service for the Greenwood Family YMCA summer camp!

Thank you to everyone who gave their time, hard work, and heart to this project. This is what Rotary is all about! 💙💛
