On Sunday August 31, 2025, an individual was killed by gunfire on Avenue F and Scott Street. The Greenwood Police Department is seeking the assistance of anyone who might have any information leading to the capture and arrest of the person or persons responsible.

On Monday, August 4, 2025, an individual was killed by gunfire at a v**e shop by Walmart in Greenwood, MS. Malcom Kohn has been identified as the individual responsible this murder. The Greenwood Police Department is seeking the assistance of anyone who might information leading to the location and arrest of Malcolm Kohn. Greenwood Police Department and Greenwood Leflore Carroll Crime Stoppers need your assistance identifying a suspect or suspects who were involved in a double homicide on Wednesday, July 9, 2025. The crime occurred around 10:15pm in the 300 block of West Monroe Avenue.

Both victims were sitting inside a vehicle at 313 W. Monroe, when unknown suspect(s) began firing into the vehicle ultimately killing both victims.

Greenwood Police Department is asking for your help regarding a shooting on the evening of June 22, 2025 at the No Way Jose restaurant on West Park Avenue. Though both victims were transported to Greenwood Leflore Hospital, sadly one of them passed away.

Authorities need your help locating 17 year old, James Tyler Robinson also known as J.T. (pictured below) He is wanted for Murder and Aggravated Assault. The other picture is a person of interest in the shooting. We need identification and his whereabouts as well.

Also, below, is a picture of the vehicle used in the shooting. We would like to get any information on the driver of this vehicle. Anyone who may have seen this vehicle on 6/22/25 with the three occupants, or anyone with any information concerning this homicide, please call Greenwood Leflore Carroll County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. On Monday, May 13, 2025, around 3:38 PM Greenwood Police Officers responded to 215 E. Martain Luther King Jr Blvd in reference to a shooting.

Upon officers’ arrival it was discovered that one man was deceased and another was injured.

Korey Moore, 35-years-old, of Greenwood, MS was pronounced deceased at the scene the other victim was airlifted to an area hospital.

Witnesses described four unknown men, wearing all black, who came from the rear of 219 East Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. They fired several shots into the crowd, striking both victims before fleeing the scene.

On May 26, 2025 at around 11:00pm, a black Infiniti SUV and its occupants were shot at on Main Street while driving under the railroad underpass. A child passenger was struck by gunfire which ultimately resulted in her passing away.

The child’s name is Zameria Jones. This should never happen to anyone, much less a ten year old child. If you have any information at all, please call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. On Saturday May 10, 2025 two individuals dressed in all black robbed the Dollar General store on Carrollton Avenue in Greenwood. This happened at approximately 10:16pm.
