Folks, please spread the word! The Greenwood Public Library will be hiring 1-2 two interns for the summer of 2026. These paid positions run from late May-August.

Interns will be asked to help lead and assist the summer reading program and various library events during the summer, in addition to other duties. Applications are accepted through May 20 but I will begin scheduling interviews on Tue May 6.

Thank you Friends of the Greenwood Library for the beautiful and delicious May Day baskets you put together and delivered yesterday. We’re so fortunate to have an active and dedicated Friends of the Library supporting the library and community! ❤️

Happy May Day! Our friends group got together to make May baskets. Have you visited the library lately? VOG is so lucky to have a beautiful one.

Join us Tue, May 5 at 2:30pm in the Community center for our new Adult Craft Club! Ages 14+ are welcome to join. This will be an informal gathering where you can either begin and learn a new craft or bring an existing craft you're currently working on.

The library has some supplies and we will also take requests for orders as well as craft donations for this monthly event. Any craft you want to work on is great--art, quilting, knitting, crochet, weaving, jewelry making, friendship bracelets, stained glass, etc. The sky is the limit! Let's get together, share our knowledge, learn from each other, and craft!

For this first event, feel free to bring an item or two that you've created in the past. Any questions, please call the library at 402 789-2301.

The kids had a blast today at Manga Club—pizza, games, anime and fun at the library! Welcome to our new members! If you’re interested in manga and anime, please join us on Saturday April 25th for our next Manga event.

School is out Friday but the Library IS OPEN! We will have Manga Club at 1:15pm for ages 12+. Please note that the anime show is rated 14+ so please bring parental permission to watch if you are under age 14.

Great turnout for Greenwood’s annual Easter Egg Hunt today, hosted by the Greenwood Public Library and Friends of the Greenwood Library !

A huge Thank You to everyone who volunteered to stuff eggs, run the raffle, and set up/clean up at the park, to those who donated candy, funds and eggs—and to our Easter Bunny!

We also thank these generous local businesses who donated funds to make this event happen: Horizon Bank-Member FDIC in Waverly, Yoder's Amish Furniture, Baker's Candies, Fialas Truck Repair, Sideline Power, and Fleming Family LLC!
