🌟 Advisory Board Chairperson Spotlight 🌟

Talk about being busy! Our Advisory Board Chairperson, Denetra Winston-Spells, has been busy supporting three separate back-to-school events throughout our community! 🎒📚

On behalf of The Salvation Army , We were glad to donate bookbags, toothpaste, toothbrushes, body wash, and deodorant for both young men and women to support these efforts—including an event with the Epsilon Sigma Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.⁠

Through Denetra’s work on the ground, The Salvation Army was able to support support three different events and reach provide needed items to local students. That is community partnership in action!

That's the example we're called to follow, not chasing status, but choosing service.

It was a great day celebrating community at Greenwood Marketplace! For Community Day

We was glad to be part of today’s celebration, where we had an opportunity to set up, pass out water, connect with our neighbors, and simply show our appreciation for the community we serve.

I also had the opportunity to sit down for an interview and talk about the relationship between The Salvation Army and Greenwood Marketplace and what strong community partnerships make possible.

A special thank you to Derrick Simpson, Manager of Greenwood Marketplace, for bringing everyone together and continuing to be such a great community partner.

When our community comes together, everybody benefits.

But that's exactly what we're called to: a love that goes deeper than surface-level kindness. A love that covers, forgives, and chooses to see people the way God sees them. So today, pray for the grace to love like Him. 🙏💕
