I received this email from our insurer, wow what else to look forward to but El Niño causing an increased wildfire risk.

Over the next few months, El Niño could shift weather patterns in parts of the U.S. and increase the risk of severe weather.

In parts of California, El Niño can bring more rain early in the season, which can lead to rapid vegetation growth. That extra growth can later dry out and increase wildfire risk.

Now is a good time to take a few simple steps to help protect your home.
What to know about fire coverage in California

Your Farmers® homeowners insurance policy does not provide coverage for fire, including wildfire damage. Wildfire coverage needs to be purchased separately through the California FAIR Plan.

If you have a California FAIR Plan policy, it’s important to make sure:
Your policy is active and up to date

Your coverage limits reflect the cost to repair or rebuild your home

You understand how your FAIR Plan and Farmers policies work together
If you’re unsure, now is a good time to review your policies and confirm your coverage.

Here are a couple enclosures we build to protect the pumps and accessories. In both cases the doors are not attached yet. These enclosures are built for any snow load and bear proof, well as long as the bear doesn’t figure out the latch.
