This week Greenwich cut the ribbon on the new Central Middle School — the largest capital project in town history. 🎗️🏫

Here’s the part the coverage left out:

CMS wasn’t scheduled for replacement until 2033. Even after the building was declared unsafe in 2022, there was no urgency — until Republicans on the BET forced it to the front of the line, pushing to accelerate design and funding a full decade early.

They also held the line on cost: from a wish list headed past $125M to a $112M appropriation.

On state money: Greenwich got a 20% reimbursement — while Norwalk’s Democratic leadership secured 80% for their high school. Greenwich sends far more to Hartford and got far less back. That’s not legislative skill. That’s breadcrumbs. 🍞

No Republican insistence in 2022 = no ribbon cutting in 2026. That history belongs next to the photographs.

Greenwich is worth fighting for. Support our candidates. Vote Republican!

The Greenwich Republican Town Committee is proud to endorse Michael Mason for State Representative in the 151st District

For nearly 30 years, Mike served Greenwich, on the Representative Town Meeting and the Board of Estimate & Taxation, including 12 years as BET Chairman, where he was unanimously elected to lead the town’s finance board.

His record: protecting taxpayers and making sure Greenwich government lived within its means. Later, he led the Town’s labor contract negotiations: hands-on experience with the contracts and obligations that drive government costs.

“We need someone in Hartford who understands Greenwich, respects local decision-making, and will stand up for the people who live here.” — Michael Mason

Her first term: Ranking Member on the Select Committee on Special Education — where reform passed unanimously, with both parties. Appointed to the Governor’s Blue-Ribbon Commission on school funding. A consistent vote against new taxes on your home, your savings, and your Social Security.

“Our state needs balanced, common sense leadership to tackle these problems. They are solvable.” — Rep. Courpas

Some candidates make promises.

Others have a record.

Joe Kelly has spent years serving Greenwich, from leading the Board of Education through unprecedented challenges to helping oversee responsible budgets and bringing people together to solve difficult problems.

That’s the kind of practical leadership Connecticut needs in Hartford.

Common Sense. Common Ground. Real Results.

On Election Day, vote Joe Kelly for State Senate! Joe Kelly

While Connecticut families face crushing taxes and affordability pressures, Lamont keeps delivering record pay and benefits to workers already averaging over $100,000. This backdoor strategy shields his union allies from accountability and locks taxpayers into unsustainable spending for years.

NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW.

The Connecticut Freedom of Information Commission unanimously found that Greenwich Democrat BOE leadership violated Connecticut’s Freedom of Information Act.

An illegal meeting.
A null and void appointment.
A finding that the Board “did not act in good faith.”

When government ignores the rules it expects everyone else to follow, accountability isn’t optional.

TRUTH MATTERS. FACTS MATTER.

Greenwich homeowners just got hit with an average 8% property tax increase, and Democrat leaders’ excuse is pathetic: blame revaluation and the new budget. It’s not revaluation. To paraphrase James Carville, "it’s the overspending, stupid”. Despite the state’s lowest mill rate, our per-resident tax burden is among the highest in Connecticut… https://www.greenwichrepublicans.com/its_the_overspending

On June 19, 1865, Union troops arrived in Galveston, Texas, and enforced the freedom of the last enslaved Americans.

It was the fulfillment of a promise — the Emancipation Proclamation made real, and soon after, the 13th Amendment that ended slavery for good.

Today we remember that freedom delayed is still freedom worth fighting for, and we honor the generations who carried that struggle forward.
