Happy Arbor Day!

To celebrate, The Village of Greenwich has a new Pin Oak Tree in Gannon Park, graciously donated (including professional planting and educational signage!) by The Washington County Soil and Water Conservation District

Plant a tree today yourself to celebrate! Don’t have a tree to plant? Get a free one today at Gannon Park from 2-4 p.m.

If there are any saplings left, we will leave them in a box in the park for residents to take throughout the weekend.

This marks Greenwich’s second year as a Tree City USA.

Arbor Day is tomorrow and The Village of Greenwich has SO MANY saplings to give away, totally free to Greenwich residents from 2-4 pm in Gannon Park!

Look for the giant TREE CITY USA banner, and come get a tree (or two!) to plant on your property: Eastern Red Cedar, Red Maple, Sycamore, Red Oak, Swamp Oak, Crabapple, Tulip Poplar, Pine, and more, while supplies last!

Saplings have been generously provided by the Washington County Soil and Water Conservation District and the Village of Greenwich.

While you’re at Gannon, come say Hi to the brand new Oak Tree gifted to Gannon Park by the Washington County Soil & Water Conservation District. Their generosity this year to the Village will live on providing shade, clean air, and home to park wildlife for many years to come!
