We want to thank everyone who came out to enjoy our third annual Family Fun Day. The weather couldn’t have been any better. Everyone seemed to have a great time, including our Fire Dog Scout, and even our Chief! Thank you to Adopt-A-Dog who came out and enjoyed the afternoon with us, we believe two pups found their forever homes! Congrats! A HUGE thank you to Whitby School for allowing us access to the grounds and another huge thank you to our members for helping this event run. A special thank you to our Company President who put countless hours into making the event as great as it was, we couldn’t have done it without you! Already looking forward to next year!!!

RHVFC members, along with a couple of trucks from Glenville did a thing tonight. Much to our surprise, we went home with second best out of state overall. And our fire dog Scout is going to become famous as the dog with crocs, unfortunately not pictured with those crocs here. 🚒🚨👨‍🚒👩‍🚒🐕

E62 and members of RHVFC responded to the downtown section of town for a report of wires down and burning. Upon arrival, E62 found a tree down which caused a utility pole to snap and compromised the one next to it. Thankfully the primary power line remained in tact and was not burning. RHVFC remained on scene for Eversoure to secure the transformer on the downed pole. Eversource was delayed as they were also responding to multiple calls on the east side of town.

Now that the dust has settled and we have had a chance to breathe, RHVFC would like to take the time to send a HUGE thank you to our event Chairperson Cate DelRaso as well as the numerous other committee members who made this event possible for a second year. We also need to give another huge thank you to our sponsors pictured here who generously sponsored our activities for all the kids. We would also like to thank Whitby School for the use of their grounds, especially when having to face a rain date. Thank you to the vendors and remaining volunteers, who without, we wouldn’t have been able to make it a success. And a final thank you to all of the families that came out to enjoy the day with us. We hope to see everyone again next year!
