Loaves & Fishes: Greenville's Food Rescue is dedicated to reducing food insecurity in our community. We pickup fresh, healthy, and surplus food seven days a week; and deliver it to over 110 amazing community agencies including food banks, women's shelters, daycares, Veteran Centers, senior housing, rehabilitation centers, community centers, and many, many more.

Not only are groceries and fuel costs high; additionally, during the summer, many families are experiencing increased financial strain as children miss out on meals provided through feeding programs during the academic year. A significant number of families and children in our community are feeling these effects.

☀️ Summer vibes were everywhere yesterday at the Upstate Circle of Friends as kids and families kicked off the Summer Break Cafe season in the best way possible! Children under 18 enjoyed a free meal provided through the Summer Break Cafe program administered South Carolina Department of Education and funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Plus!! They each received a fresh box of produce from Feed & Seed Co., Greenville, and and Fishes Greenville — and that was just the start.

Education Partners handed out free books, the Greenville County Library System signed kids up for Summer Reading, Molina Healthcare blended up refreshing healthy smoothies, and the Bradshaw Institute for Community Child Health & Advocacy of Prisma Children’s Hospital shared resources to help families stay safe all summer long. Sunshine, smiles, and community support — the perfect recipe for summer.
