Twenty-five years ago, America woke up to an ordinary September morning—and by the end of that day, our nation and thousands of families had been changed forever.

As women, mothers, daughters, sisters, and proud Americans, our hearts remain with every family who lost someone they loved on September 11, 2001.

We will never forget the firefighters climbing those stairs. We will never forget the police officers, paramedics, service members, and ordinary citizens who chose courage over fear. We will never forget the husbands and wives who never came home, or the children who grew up without a mother or father.

And we will never forget how America responded. We stood together. We prayed together. We helped our neighbors. We flew our flag with pride. We remembered that what unites us is far greater than what divides us.

Today, the Republican Women of Pitt County proudly honor the fallen, their families, and every American hero who answered the call.

May we never lose that spirit of courage, faith, unity, and love of country.
