“It’s basic biology” is often a phrase used to end a conversation, not start one.

The reality is that biology is anything but simple.

The more scientists learn about genetics, hormones, brain development, and human diversity, the more we discover that nature doesn’t always fit neatly into the categories we learned as children.

Acknowledging complexity isn’t rejecting science — it’s following the evidence wherever it leads.

ALSO ... You don’t have to understand every aspect of s*x and gender to treat people with dignity and respect.

But if we’re going to talk about biology, we should be willing to engage with what biology actually says, not just what we learned in middle school.

💜 Learning is not a weakness.
💜 Curiosity is not a threat.
💜 And treating people with kindness costs nothing.

RESOURCE FOR PARENTS OF TRANS KIDS:

"When Your Child Comes Out as Trans” available now ...

As we celebrate Pride Month, it’s important to remember that for many families, Pride began with a conversation.

A conversation that may have brought questions, uncertainty, fear, hope, or all of those things at once.

When a child comes out as transgender, parents often find themselves navigating unfamiliar territory while trying to do what every loving parent wants to do: support their child and keep their family connected.

That’s why we created the guide: "When Your Child Comes Out as Trans"

The guide was written specifically for parents who are looking for trustworthy information, practical guidance, and compassionate support as they learn more about gender identity and what it means to have a transgender child.

In the guide you’ll find:

💜 Common questions parents ask when a child comes out as trans

💜 Information about gender identity and gender dysphoria

💜 Ways to support your child while processing your own emotions

💜 Guidance for maintaining connection and trust

💜 Resources for continued learning and support

Pride Month is a celebration of authenticity, courage, and love. It is also an opportunity to learn.

For parents, one of the most meaningful ways to celebrate Pride can be taking the time to better understand and support the LGBTQ+ people they love.

Happy Pride.

Love is not asking someone to fit into our expectations.

Love is creating the space for someone to be fully, authentically themselves.

Too many LGBTQ+ people have spent years hiding parts of who they are because they feared rejection, judgment, or losing the people they love. Imagine the freedom of finally being seen, accepted, and celebrated exactly as you are.

“Encouraging someone to be entirely themself is the loudest way to love them.”

What a beautiful reminder that acceptance is more than tolerance. It is making it clear, through our words, our actions, and our presence, that the people we love never have to earn our love by being someone else.

❤️ Be the person who makes others feel safe enough to be themselves.

Mama Bears wrote some love letters for Pride month ...

In a world where everything is so artificial, so embellished, and incredibly fake, there is nothing as wonderful and refreshing as a person who has decided to simply be themselves... so keep being YOU
because you make the world a better place.

Love,
A Mama Bear ❤️
