BNSF RR will be closing the crossing at woburn road. Closure will begin at approximately 6pm on Sunday, May 31st to approximately 9pm on Wednesday, June 3rd. The closure is for crossing repair/upgrades. No marked detour will be offered.
This is not a county project. The project location and closure has been determined by BNSF RR. Please plan accordingly.

*UPDATE*
Preparation work for road oiling is moving to Hastings Cemetery starting June 1.

Woburn Road (from Hastings Cemetery south to 140) will be oiled in late July, Due to Durley Camp being in session through the month of June.

Over the next few weeks, the Bond County Highway Department will be working on Woburn Road preparing for oiling in late June. Please slow down and use caution as the patch material will be sticky.

Roadside mowing will begin on Woburn Road and make a circle around the county. Please slow down in all work/mowing areas in the county.

Tuesday, May 12 from 8am to 2 pm the Bond County Highway Department will close Woburn Road just north of Mt. Zion Ave for a cross-culvert replacement project. Thank you for your patience as we work between spring rains.

The Bond County Highway Department is seeking qualified applicants for the seasonal/temporary highway maintainer position. Candidates must be capable of operating equipment to maintain County roads and rights-of-way. Assist in the maintenance of highway equipment and other duties as assigned. The position will be required to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Base rate of $20.00/hour.
