Hey, Greenville!

Ever see our firefighters walking around a commercial business, taking pictures and checking things out?

Don’t worry, we’re not just out sightseeing! We’re working on what we call a pre-plan.

A pre-plan allows us to become familiar with a commercial building before an emergency happens. We walk around the building, take pictures, and gather important information that can help us respond quickly and safely when you need us most.

Having up-to-date pre-plans helps our first responders have a better idea of the building layout, important features, and where we’ll be arriving and operating during an emergency.

So if you see us around town visiting a commercial business, give us a wave! We’re simply doing our part to be better prepared to protect our community. ❤️🚒

Congratulations to Greenville’s new Police Chief, K.Z. Thomas! 🎉

Chief Thomas may wear blue, but judging by these photos, she has a little firefighter in her, too! From gearing up to sliding down the fire pole, she clearly has way too much fun hanging out with us….

We’re excited to continue working alongside Chief Thomas as she leads the Greenville Police Department. Congratulations, Chief!!

Greenville Fire/Rescue was proud to partner with Avive Solutions to train more than 1,000 ECU students, faculty, and staff in CPR and AED use in a single day, helping build a community where trained volunteers can respond to cardiac emergencies before professional responders arrive.

Greenville Fire/Rescue was honored to take part in the annual Interfaith Clergy Blessing of the Badges at First Christian Church in Greenville.

We are deeply grateful to the Interfaith Clergy for their prayers and blessings for protection, strength, wisdom, and guidance. Their continued support of our first responders means so much to us.

We also appreciate the fellowship and time spent together with fellow first responders and community members.
