Hunt / Collin Counties – On Wednesday, April 8, 2026, a Texas State Trooper attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a motorcycle for a traffic violation on US 380 near FM 36 in Hunt County. The driver refused to stop, and a pursuit was initiated. During the pursuit, the motorcycle operator drove in a manner that created significant danger to the public, driving on the improved shoulder, maneuvering between other motorists, and making erratic lane changes at high speeds. The pursuit was terminated for public safety, and the suspect evaded capture. Based on information shared by local law enforcement, it is believed the same rider has been involved in several evading incidents with other law enforcement agencies.

Hunt County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest and indictment of the motorcycle driver.
