Greenville Career Art Class of 2026 Leaves a Lasting Legacy Through Art ๐๐จ
A group of talented seniors in Mrs. Hawkโs art class at Greenville High School has created a meaningful and lasting impact on both their school and community through the completion of a vibrant mural installed in the office of Superintendent Julie Jones. ๐
The collaborative artwork celebrates the history, culture, and recognizable landmarks of Greenville, Ohio. Within each letter, students illustrated scenes and symbols that reflect the identity and pride of the community, including familiar downtown architecture, the Maid-Rite Drive-In, local street signs, fountains, and other beloved landmarks. ๐
This capstone project brought together creativity, teamwork, and artistic skill as students moved from planning and sketching to painting and final installation. Under the guidance of Mrs. Nicole Hawk, students explored how art can preserve local history and strengthen community connections.
The mural now displayed in Superintendent Julie Jonesโ office serves as a daily reminder of the strong partnership between Greenville High School and the broader community. It highlights not only student talent but also the importance of arts education in fostering collaboration, creativity, and pride.
We are incredibly proud of the Career Art Class of 2026 and all they have accomplished. A special thank you to the class representatives pictured for helping install this beautiful work and ensuring their class leaves a lasting impact on our school community.
