Message from Greenville Water Chief Executive Officer, Jeff Boss. Please repost to all our friends and neighbors.

Greenville Water was well prepared for the impact of Helene even though the impacts of the storm were greater than expected. Our crews have been working around the clock to ensure the integrity of our system. During the high winds Friday morning, both treatment plants and all pump stations lost power but were able to continue to function thanks to backup power. Adkins power was restored Friday afternoon and is fully operational. Pump
Stations continue to function on backup power while Duke works to restore service. Greenville water has access to all pump stations and tanks to maintain normal operations. Stovall continues to run on backup power with sufficient fuel until service is restored. Stovall power should be restored today, per Duke Energy. There have also been no major main breaks.

Greenville Water has operated safely and efficiently during this event and continues to provide high quality drinking water with no interruptions. Please feel confident to use water as you normally would and expect the same quality and service you’re used to.

Greenville Water expects to return to normal operations by end of this coming week.
