We are offering another R.A.D. Class! Sign up today!

*RAD INFORMATION*

R**e Aggression Defense class in November 2026.

Come learn safety strategies and defense options. This FREE women’s self-defense class is offered to women and girls age 13 and older.

The class meets from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, November 16, 17, 18, and 19. This is a Monday - Thursday class. We ask that you be able to attend all four sessions if you sign up.

Today we are recognizing our 4 legged officers. GPD's K9 Unit, Tango, Cash, and Major are members of our GPD family.

National Night Out is approaching quickly!

For 2026, National Night Out in Texas will be held Tuesday, October 6th .

Greenville, Texas has been holding National Night Out activities for over 30 years in our neighborhoods. Police Officers, Firefighters, Paramedics, and City Officials spend the evening going around to as many of the locations as possible and are there to answer questions, have fun with the kids, and especially eat some food and desserts.

Officer James Hamilton will be holding a Kickoff Meeting on Thursday September 3, 2026 at the Greenville Police Department in the Community Room, 3000 Lee Street, Greenville, TX 75401. The meeting will start at 6 p.m. and he will be there to help people register their neighborhood for the event and answer any questions that you might have.

If you are unable to make the meeting and want to host a block party in your neighborhood, you can email Officer Hamilton at [email protected] and he can email you all of the registration information.

The backpacks are packed, the busses are running, and school is officially back!

As students, teachers, and families head back to school, the Greenville Police Department is excited to welcome everyone back for another great school year!

A few reminders as we get back into the routine:

🚌 Slow down in school zones and watch for children crossing the street.
🚗 Put the phone down and keep your eyes on the road.
🚸 Stop for school buses when their red lights are flashing.
👟 Watch for students walking and riding bikes to and from school.
❤️ And most importantly — let’s look out for one another.

To all our students: Have an amazing first day! Make good choices, work hard, be kind, be safe, and make this a year to remember.
