Elmhurst Updates and Reminders-Week of 5/25/26:
There will be no school this Monday, May 25th in recognition of Memorial Day. We look forward to seeing students back at school on Tuesday, May 26th.
As we approach the end of the year, and there are performances, parties, and ceremonies, please be reminded that during school events, it is not appropriate to approach children with whom your child may be having a conflict. Please let a teacher or administrator know if there are any issues involving your child that you need addressed.
EOGs Dates: 3rd-5th graders will participate in End of Grade testing during the last ten days of school. Reading will be on Thursday, May 28th, Math will be on Friday, May 29th, and Science will be on Tuesday, June 2nd. We also have students who require small group accommodations testing a couple of days (May 26 and 27) before the large testing window opens as well.We are in need of proctors to monitor the testing environment. Please mark your calendars for our end of year awards celebrations.
Our end of year bear bash for the fourth nine weeks will be on June 8th. Students who have no more than one office referral will be allowed to attend as we are celebrating positive behavior choices. Teachers will let you know before the event if your child is not able to participate. This event is for students and staff only.
Our end of year awards day for 5th Grade will be on June 5th at 9:00. A short reception will follow. Our K-4 awards day will be June 9th.
4th Grade: 9:00
3rd Grade: 10:00
1st Grade: 11:00
Kindergarten: 12:15
2nd Grade: 1:15
All ceremonies will be in the gym. Please sign in as you enter, and be prepared to indicate if you will be signing your child out. We are trying to streamline our sign out procedures. Once the ceremony is over, parents who are signing out their students will wait for them in the cafeteria.
