Over the next few days we will be honoring James Raugh...4 years old that lost his life in a house fire...He wanted so badly to be a firefighter when he grew up! Welcome to Hamburg-Lovett Volunteer Fire Department little buddy, you're "on duty".

“A man and his 3 kids were killed in a house fire (1/08/18) in South Carolina. James, the oldest of the kids was only 4, his dream was to grow up to be a fireman. Sadly, that dream will never come to fruition...we would like to send James “on duty” with as many departments as we can between 1/08/18 and 1/12/18. Nathan, James, Jalissa and Jordan will be buried on the 12th. Peace and condolences to this family.

Hurricane Irma Storm Update
The Madison County Board of County Commissioners has issued a MANDATORY evacuation of all mobile homes, sub-standard housing, rv’s and low lying areas due winds in the excess of 80 mph with gusts up to 90 mph. Those in these structures should seek shelter in a safe structure. We are recommending you do so by noon tomorrow.
This decision was based on information that we received from the National Weather Service during the latest briefing. The track of this storm has shifted westward causing significant changes in Madison County’s forecast today. The Madison County Central School will be open at 5:00 PM today for anyone needing shelter from the storm. Current timing for sustained winds in excess of 80 mph is around 8:00 pm Sunday evening lasting into Monday.
If you need assistance with transportation to the Madison County Central School, the Madison County School District will be picking up evacuees from Volunteer Fire Departments, Madison City Hall, Town of Greenville City Hall and the Town of Lee City Hall from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM Sunday morning.
Please call the Emergency Operations Center if you require additional information. Please be respectful and DO NOT call 911 for transportation related issues.
It is important to understand there will be significant wind damage due to this storm. Everyone should expect and be prepared for power outages that may last a week or longer. Emergency responders, road crews and utility workers will be out working hard to clear debris and restore power as soon as it is safe to do so. Please be understanding and patient as this is a statewide event.
