September is Attendance Awareness Month, and we want to make sure our Jaguar families have the information they need to help students be present, prepared, and ready to learn each day! 📚🎯

🚲🐆 READY, SET, RIDE! 🐆🚲

Our Adapted PE teachers kicked off their Bicycle Safety Unit today with our ECS Jaguars, and Week 1 is officially off and RUNNING—or should we say, ROLLING! ❤️🖤

During Week 1: Bicycle Basics & Safety, students are learning and practicing:
🚲 Proper helmet safety and fit
🚲 Bicycle parts and equipment
🚲 Safe mounting and dismounting
🚲 Starting, stopping, steering, and braking
🚲 Expectations for safely navigating the riding area

Throughout this four-week experience, every student will have an opportunity to participate at their individual ability level using traditional and adaptive bicycles and equipment. Along the way, our Jaguars will build confidence, independence, coordination, endurance, and important bicycle safety skills!

We loved seeing our students outside, learning new skills, challenging themselves, and having FUN on Day 1!

Good Afternoon, Jaguar Family! 🖤🐆❤️

Another great week is in the books at E.B. Aycock, and our Jaguars continue to be off and RUNNING! 🐆 We are proud of the energy, effort, and Jaguar Pride our students and staff continue to bring each day as we build momentum for an incredible school year.

There are so many great things happening across EBA—in our classrooms, on our athletic fields and courts, and throughout our school community—and we’re just getting started!

🏈 We had a little extra muscle supervising the hallways this morning!

We were excited to welcome members of the J.H Rose Varsity Football Team to the halls of E.B. Aycock this morning! 🏈 The Rampants greeted our Jaguars as they arrived, bringing plenty of energy, smiles, and encouragement to help our students start their Friday off right! 🐆❤️🖤

What made it even more special? Several of these student-athletes are former Jaguars themselves! Once a Jaguar, always a Jaguar! 🐆 Seeing our former students return to EBA as high school leaders and positive role models was a great reminder to our current Jaguars of where their hard work can take them.

Good luck to J.H. Rose tonight as they take on Havelock High School!

Ms. Grillo’s classes got in on the Pancake Day action, turning the classroom into a delicious science lab! 🧠🥞 Our Jaguars put their learning into action as they explored physical and chemical changes and different types of mixtures—with a tasty final product to show for it!

🕵️‍♀️🔢 There’s a mystery to solve in 7th Grade Math! 🐆

Students in Mrs. Bolinsky’s 7th Grade Math class put their problem-solving skills to work during the Mystery “What Had Happened Was” Order of Operations Task! 🔍➕➗✖️

Our Jaguars had to solve order of operations problems correctly to uncover clues and CRACK THE CASE! 🕵️‍♂️🔐 Working collaboratively, students applied their math skills, communicated their thinking, and pieced together the evidence to solve the mystery.

Another great example of our Jaguars RUNNING toward success! ❤️🐆🖤
