Today, there is a new soldier in the South Carolina National Guard within our community, and Hillcrest High School, PVT Stoughtenger, Christian. Christian is a high school senior at Hillcrest High School, a varsity wrestler, and also a volunteer middle school teacher. PVT Stoughtenger enlisted today as an 88M (motor transport operator). After graduation in May he will attended Basic Training and AIT. This young man has already accomplished so much in so little time, we cannot wait to see him capture his future goals of becoming a Teacher while pursuing his Military Career. Christian, congratulations on your enlistment today, welcome to the team and the family.

After graduation she will be attending Basic Training & Advanced Individual Training for 92G a Culinary Specialist. Public service announcement. A Senior from Hillcrest High School Kincaid Strickland enlisted into the South Carolina National Guard as a 15U. Strickland was also promoted to rank of PFC for obtaining his Eagle Scout Certificate. PFC Strickland will be attending The Citadel University in the fall of 2026 where he has already been accepted to. We have no doubt that he will be a great Soldier in the South Carolina Army National Guard. The goals this young man has set for himself to accomplish are a page long and I have no doubt that he will achieve all of them. Congratulations PFC Strickland, welcome to the Guard.

What a way to celebrate Thanksgiving Eve. These two individuals took The Oath of Enlistment to join the South Carolina National Guard. Esteban joined as a 31B (Military Police) and Johanna joined as a 88M (Motor Transport Operator). Not only are they best friends but they are also brother and sister.
