Great News!!

BNSF Railroad has completed their repairs of the Woburn Rd crossing a day early.

The railroad crossing has reopened to traffic

Showers and thunderstorms will move into central and northeast Missouri as well as west central Illinois on Friday and will spread across the area over the weekend. Temperatures will be just above normal for early June with afternoon heat index values above 90 degrees in some locations.

Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible generally along and west of the Mississippi River late this afternoon into early evening, and again overnight tonight. A few storms will be capable of producing hail up to around 1 inch and wind gusts up around 60 mph. Some storms could also produce locally heavy rain.

A stagnant weather pattern with low pressure over the Great Plains and high pressure over the Great Lakes will continue to produce scattered showers and thunderstorms, for areas mainly along and west of the Mississippi River today and Sunday. Some storms could produce strong and gusty winds, small hail, and locally heavy rain mainly over central Missouri. The pattern shifts Sunday night which will spread a 50-70 percent chance for showers and thunderstorms across the entire area through early Monday morning.

BNSF Railroad will be closing the Woburn Rd track crossing starting May 31 at 6pm and will be reopening it on June 3 at 9pm.

Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms will affect areas mainly along and west of the Mississippi River today and Saturday. Sunday will be dry across most of the area, but a 20-30 percent chance for showers and thunderstorms will linger across parts of central and southeast Missouri. Temperatures will be seasonably warm with highs ranging from the mid 70s to low and mid 80s. Overnight lows will dip into the low to mid 60s.
