The Greenville Police Department extends its deepest sympathies to the Columbia Police Department, SC. Earlier today, two of their officers were involved in a shooting incident, resulting in the tragic loss of Officer Christopher DeLong Jr. and injuries to another officer, who is being treated. Our thoughts and prayers are with the officers, their families, and our brothers and sisters in blue.

and Greenville Police Department are going head-to-head in the 6th Annual Heroes Softball Game at Fluor Field on Sunday, August 30.

First Responders Day kicks off at 1 p.m. with Heroes Alley at District 356, continuing at the ballpark at 2 p.m. with a first responder vehicle parade and Special Forces Parachute Team performance. The Greenville Drivetake the field at 3:05 p.m., followed by the Heroes Softball Game around 5:30 p.m.

K9 Otto and K9 Ozzy are now better protected thanks to a generous donation from K9s United! 🙌

Both K9s have received custom K9 Storm ballistic vests, enhancing their safety as they serve in vital roles—Otto with the Greenville Police SWAT Team and Ozzy with the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force.

🚨✨ Flashing lights. Trading Sirens for Softball. 🥎 and Greenville Police Department will face off in the annual Heroes Game, benefiting Shriners Children's Greenville at Fluor Field.

👏🏽 Here’s the lineup for Sunday, August 30:
1 p.m. – Heroes Alley at District 356 featuring emergency vehicles, inflatables, music, games and more
2 p.m. – Gates open, followed by a first responder vehicle parade and Special Forces Parachute Team performance
3:05 p.m. – The Greenville Drive takes the field for its final home game of the season
5:30(ish) following the Drive game – Heroes Softball Game 🚒 vs. 🚓

This little kitten was stuck in the wheel well of a vehicle and was rescued by an officer before the vehicle started driving. The five-week-old kitten was abandoned and infested with fleas. She has been adopted by one of our officers and is now living the good life and in good health. Make sure you check your vehicles for stray animals before driving.
