Officers responded to Haywood Mall just after 1 p.m. for reports of gunshots fired. They found two gunshot wound victims. The injured victims were transported to the hospital. Multiple people are in custody. The scene is active, but contained.

There is no danger to the public, but it could be some time before first responders can clear the area. The Greenville City Fire Department and other law enforcement officers are assisting with evacuations.

If you dropped someone off at the mall and want to pick them up, we are setting up a designated area on the ground floor of the parking garage at Dillard’s.

Greenlink is bringing a bus with AC for people to wait and stay cool. Buses are also available to take people from the pickup point at Dillard’s back to their cars.

The mall is closed for an undetermined amount of time. Contact the mall for information about reopening.

‼️🌙 Summer nights are here. Officers have a reminder for teens and their families about the downtown curfew.

The City ordinance prohibits unaccompanied minors under the age of 18 from being on public streets, plazas or parks in the Central Business District after 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays until 6 a.m. the following morning. The ordinance also prohibits minors from driving or riding through downtown during curfew hours.

Parents and guardians should know their children's plans and location and ensure they abide by the ordinance. All parties can be fined for a violation.

Biscuit Assault Suspect Apprehended!
Earlier today, Kylo found a guy who assaulted a Spinx employee. This wasn't a typical assault—the suspect threw a biscuit at an employee’s face. The suspect was identified and later ran from officers. Kylo was called to the scene and found the suspect hiding in a recycling bin off Sullivan Street. (He was also checking for leftover biscuits but sadly didn't find any, so he got another treat instead.) The suspect was taken into custody for the assault and fleeing from officers.
