Today, the Smart Start Network pauses to remember the lives lost and the families, communities, and first responders whose lives were forever changed on September 11, 2001.

In the days that followed, we saw people come together in remarkable ways—neighbors helping neighbors, strangers caring for one another, and communities finding strength in compassion and connection.

At Smart Start, we know that strong communities are built when we look out for one another and make sure families have the support they need. That spirit of caring and connection continues to guide our work every day.

Today, we remember those we lost, honor those who served, and reflect on the importance of community, kindness, and caring for one another.
