GCEM is responsible for planning, integrating, and implementing all emergency management and Homeland Security related activities for Greenville County. The role o

f Emergency Management is to coordinate the community's efforts to prepare for, respond to, and recover from, large-scale emergencies and disasters. Emergency Management works to craft a harmonized community-wide effort through the joint collaboration of both public and private organizations responsible for providing services to the community.

At Greenville County Emergency Management, we know preparedness is a lot like a good donut — it’s all about having the right ingredients ready before you need them.

Greenville County Emergency Management would like to thank our community, partner agencies, and everyone involved for their support during this week’s multi-agency emergency preparedness exercise conducted in the area of N. Pleasantburg Dr. and Tower Dr.

The exercise has officially concluded and provided valuable opportunities for agencies to strengthen coordination, communication, and emergency response capabilities through realistic training scenarios.

We also appreciate the patience and understanding of residents and businesses in the area during the exercise activities over the past two days.

Training exercises like this play an important role in helping emergency personnel prepare to respond effectively and work together during real-world incidents.

Thank you again to all participating agencies and community partners for your continued commitment to public safety and preparedness.

Today is the second day of the planned multi-agency emergency preparedness exercise being conducted by Greenville County Emergency Management and partner agencies in the area of N. Pleasantburg Dr. and Tower Dr.

Residents may continue to notice emergency personnel and response vehicles in the area between approximately 7:30 AM and 3:00 PM.

This activity is part of a coordinated training exercise and there is no threat to public safety. Please do not call 911 unless reporting an actual emergency.

Residents may see emergency vehicles and personnel in the area throughout the day as agencies participate in coordinated training activities.

This is only an exercise and there is no threat to the public. Please do not call 911 unless you need to report an actual emergency.
