Lloyd Vol. Fire & Rescue We are a dedicated team of volunteer firefighters committed to protecting lives, property, and our community.

Established in 1983, we’ve been answering the call for over 40 years with courage, compassion, and community spirit. The Lloyd Volunteer Fire Department is a rural fire department placed along the Ohio river in Greenup, KY. Chances are if have traveled US 23 or the AA highway through Greenup County you have been in the fire district at some point.

On Wednesday, May 27th at 18:24 hours, the Lloyd Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to the area of Slash Branch Rd and Billups Fork Rd for reports of flooding. Crews coordinated with Greenup County Emergency Management to develop a plan for possible evacuation of residents if conditions worsened.
We would also like to thank the Russell Fire Department for responding to stand by with their boat and assist if needed. We appreciate the teamwork and support from our neighboring departments and agencies.
