What an incredible day! Our hearts are full after seeing so many of you come out to Rebekah Park for the Ruff Runner 5K. We are so incredibly grateful for your overwhelming show of support for our GPD K9 unit.

A special thank you to the Greensburg Fire Department, The City of Greensburg, IN, and Decatur EMS for cooking out after the race, and thank you to our donors and volunteers who worked to make this day a success.

All proceeds from today go directly back to our K9 unit, ensuring they have the training, equipment, and care they need to continue keeping our community safe. We couldn't do it without you!

An incident involving a gas leak occurred earlier today at the corner of E. Main Street and N. Lathrop Street. Out of an abundance of caution, residents of 15 neighboring homes were evacuated.

We are pleased to report that E. Main Street is now back open to traffic. CenterPoint Energy is currently on-site performing repairs, and the gas has been safely shut off.

Evacuated residents are expected to be able to return to their homes later this afternoon. Thank you for your patience and cooperation as emergency crews work to resolve this issue.

We are just ONE DAY away from the Ruff Runner 5K, and we could not be more excited! The course is marked, the grill is ready, and our K9 team is ready to go.

We are so grateful for the overwhelming support we’ve already seen. Now, let’s bring that energy to Rebekah Park tomorrow morning!

Please be advised that a water main break has occurred at the corner of N. Broadway and W. 7th Street, in front of KB Foods.

Crews are currently on site working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. Residents in the immediate vicinity may experience low water pressure or a complete loss of service, and N. Broadway is closed as the Water Plant team makes repairs. Please seek an alternative route if possible.
