I received this message today, and it brought me great pride for the officers of GPD. It’s a testament to their dedication and professionalism.

They work tirelessly to ensure the safety of our community, and are among the best in the commonwealth.

We live in unprecedented times, but GPD is blessed to work in a community that supports its officers, and rallies around each other during times of need.

Stay safe and warm, GPD will have officers out and ready to assist if needed.

GPD recently hosted another successful Shop with a Cop event. Thanks to the generous support and donations from our community, we were able to assist multiple families and make a meaningful impact this season.

We would like to sincerely thank everyone who contributed to making this event possible, as well as the Hodgenville Police Department for partnering with us on this joint effort. Special appreciation is also extended to the Greensburg/Green Co E-911 Communications Center for their assistance in ensuring the event ran smoothly and for helping families locate needed items.

Events like this remind me why Green County is such a special place. I am incredibly proud to be from this community, which continues to demonstrate unmatched generosity and a true spirit of giving.

GPD wants to thank everyone who donated to our Cram the cruiser and Toy Drive campaign.

Thanks to your generous donations we were able to deliver toys to the Green County Youth Service Center and food items to the Green County Food Pantry yesterday morning.

We know these items will be a great blessing to those in our community and we are thankful for the ability to be a small part in making that happen.
