Westmoreland County Juvenile Probation Officer Lori Gigliotti offers valuable insight into her work with adjudicated youth during a panel discussion at the CIT-Youth Training today. The panel also included members from the Westmoreland County Children's Bureau and Department of Human Services and the Independence Health System.
"Crisis Intervention Team training is a community based, 40-hour program designed to help law enforcement & first responders safely and effectively handle encounters with individuals experiencing behavioral health crises."
This specific training is meant for those individuals who work closely with youth in schools and in the community who may be in immediate crisis or in need of a higher level of care.
The "students" are representatives from local school districts, social services, and behavioral support agencies.
