To the residents of Kiowa County, Kansas:
A Primary Election will be held August 4, 2026, per K.S.A. 25-203. Candidates for the following offices will be nominated by each political party, which has qualified to participate in the Primary Election:
One candidate for United States House of Representative 4th district
One candidate for Governor / LT Governor
One candidate for Secretary of State
One candidate for Attorney General
One candidate for State Treasurer
One candidate for Commissioner of Insurance
One candidate for State Representative 116th district
One candidate for State Board of Education 7th district
One candidate for District Court Judge, 16th District, 1st Division
One candidate for County Commissioner, District 1
The following officers from the precincts of Center 1, Center 2, Mullinville, Haviland & Belvidere will be elected in each political party, which has qualified to participate in the Primary Election:
One precinct Committeeman in each of the 5 precincts
One precinct Committeewoman in each of the 5 precincts
The Kiowa County Memorial Hospital will be electing hospital board positions #4, #5 and #6 (this race will appear on the General ballot only)
The deadline for filing is June 1, 2026, at noon. Applications can be picked up at the County Clerks office at 211 E Florida Ave, Greensburg KS.
The deadline for party affiliation is noon on June 1st at noon in the County Clerk’s office.
